The industry of spare parts for automotive is undergoing a small revolution.
Recently, the president of the National Council of Automotiv Mexico , D. Oscar Albin , said that with the right investments his country could surpass Germany in the ranking of countries worldwide producers of car parts , coming to fourth place worldwide .
The goal would be to get to $ 100 million in annual revenue (note: 25 % higher than this year) thus moving from fifth place , earned in 2012 surpassing the 75 million dollars at the expense of South Korea, to the fourth place that is currently occupied by the only European representant: Germany.
The causes of this rise are to be found in the great help of Brazil , which has increased greatly in recent years the import of Mexican components, doubling from 2010 to 2012 , but also in reduced cost of Mexican labor force which in the opinion of Merrill Lynch ( note: Bank of America ) even manages to be less expensive than China after the recent increases in the cost of Chinese labor .
