The most Hi Tech cities in the world have been listed in the Innovation Cities Index 2018.

A study developed by 2Thinknow, an Australian company specialized in data analysis.

The criteria for establishing the list respond to 162 different parameters ranging from cultural areas to infrastructure for people, up to the network of present markets.

The most Hi Tech cities in the world have conquered positions on the list thanks to the number of patents per capita, the presence of startups, venture capitalists and large tech companies.

Perhaps for this reason it is not surprising that the peak has been conquered by Tokyo (for the first time in history) as it has managed, in the current year, to embrace smart technology and become a pioneering hub in the robotics and 3D industry.

London follows it, among the hi-tech cities of the world, which in addition to confirming a financial capital emerges for its being a technological hub.

Strange to say, Silicon Valley is a bronze medal despite the giants Apple, Google, Facebook, HP, Intel, Tesla and Netflix.

The most hi-tech cities in the Italian world are very backward on the list. The first is Milan, at the fortieth place, where UniCredit and Pirelli are based.

Rome, on the other hand, is forty-seventh with Enel and Leonardo.

In short, from this list it seems clear that innovation and technology are realized where there are investments and big ideas together with large companies are at ease to grow if they find contexts and situations in which investments are promoted and carried out.

Even at a European level, Italy does not move very well, positioning Milan in thirteenth position and Rome in seventeenth.

Below, in order but after the number one position, Naples (136 °, 51 ° in Europe), Turin (164 °, 64 ° in Europe), Florence (211 °, 80 ° in Europe), Bologna (231 °, 89 ° in Europe), Venice (277 °, 105 ° in Europe), Parma (295 °, 111 ° in Europe), Padua (318 °, 121 ° in Europe), Verona (319 °, 122 ° in Europe), Modena (333 °, 127 ° in Europe) and then closes Trieste (339 °, 130 ° in Europe).

In short, from this point of view the list of good intentions for the new year for Italy is very long.
