Decree: Italy goes with 500 millions for facilitations

In the Official Gazette the decree for the facilitations that issue 500 million Euros for the great Research and Development projects has been published.

The first decree refinances all over the national territory subsidies for companies that invest in large research and development projects in the “Digital Agenda” and “Sustainable Industry” sectors. The measure is financed by the resources of the PRI, the Revolving Fund for business support and the investments of Cassa depositi e prestiti, and the FCS, the Fund for sustainable growth of the MiSE.

There are also reserved facilities for interventions concerning the conversion of production processes within the circular economy.

The second decree establishes a new facility for research and development projects promoted within the Smart Factory, Agrifood and Life Sciences technology areas.

The measure is aimed at companies that carry out industrial, agro-industrial and artisan services, services to industry throughout the national territory, with a reserve of 50 million dedicated to the regions of Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicily. Facilities are also envisaged in the “High Performance Calculation” sector consistent with the National Smart Specialization Strategy.

For the first decree, resources of 190 million euros have been allocated, of which 140 worth of resources from the Fund for sustainable growth and 50 million euros worth on the economies deriving from resources allocated to the disadvantaged areas of the country by the Action Plan and Cohesion 2007-2013.

72 million euros for the “Smart Factory” sector, of which 20 million reserved for operations to be carried out in the “former convergence objective” regions: Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicily;

42 million euro for the “Agrifood” sector, of which 12 million reserved for operations to be carried out in the “former convergence objective” regions: Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicily;

€ 52 million to the “Life sciences” sector, of which € 18 million reserved for interventions to be carried out in the “former convergence objective” regions: Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicily;

€ 24 million for the “High Performance Calculation” sector.

The procedure for submitting applications for incentives is divided into the following phases:

pre-compilation of the related applications for access to the benefits, respectively on 8 and 10 October 2019

opening of the counter for the presentation of the related applications, on 12 and 26 November 2019, respectively
