WTC2013 is the fifth World Congress of Tribology, which will be held in Turin, Italy, September 8 to 13, 2013, after the sessions in London (1997), Vienna (2001), Washington DC (2005) and Kyoto (2009).
The main objective of these meetings is to provide a unique opportunity for discussion on recent advances in different aspects of tribology and strengthen the link between academia and industry.
WTC 2013 is organized by the Italian Tribology Association (AIT) and it consists of scientific sessions, meetings on specific topics, features a large area of exposure of the products and provides various side events.
Particular attention will be given to eco-tribology and sustainability. Today, these issues are increasingly important. Will be discussed then the friction and wear of the surfaces in contact and in relative motion and also of surface heat treatments of metals, in order to enhance the features under stress.
